The Stax Museum of American Soul Music is located in the heart of Memphis, TN, just a 10-minute drive from Memphis International Airport, 10 minutes from Amtrak Central Station and Greyhound Bus Station. We are just a few minutes from downtown's world-famous Beale Street, the Rock 'N Soul Museum, Peabody Hotel, National Civil Rights Museum, and FedExForum. We are also just a few minutes away from Graceland and Sun Studio, and we are easily accessible from Interstate I-240, just a minute from South Parkway East Exit 28-A.

From Graceland, drive north on Elvis Presley Boulevard. After it turns into Bellevue Street, turn left on McLemore Avenue and drive approximately a quarter mile to College Street. From Amtrak Station, Greyhound Bus Station, Rock 'N' Soul Museum, National Civil Rights Museum, and FedExForum, take Main Street south to Crump Boulevard. Drive approximately one mile east to Mississippi Boulevard. Turn left and then right at the second red light onto McLemore and just a few blocks to the museum. From Tunica, take Highway 61 north into Memphis and stay on until it turns into Third Street. Go left on McLemore Avenue to the fourth red light at College Street.
